How to maintain the sanding belt of the sanding machine

The use of sanding belts; Only by selecting and using sand belts reasonably and correctly, and being able to solve various problems that arise during the use of sand belts correctly, can the superiority and optimal grinding performance of sand belt grinding be utilized to ensure the quality of processed workpieces.

Preparation of Sand Belt Before Use
Sand belt storage is certainly important, but if the sand belt cannot be properly treated before use, it will still seriously affect its performance.

Suspension of sand belt
Sand belts should be hung for at least 2-5 days before use to eliminate curling caused by packaging. Hang the unpacked sand belt on a 100-200mm diameter pipe or a dedicated sand belt support bracket. The length of the pipe should be greater than the width of the sand belt, otherwise the sand belt is prone to falling off or producing a horn mouth; The pipe should be in a horizontal state, otherwise it is easy to damage the edge of the sand belt. The environmental temperature and humidity of the suspended sand belt should meet the storage conditions of the sand belt. The simplest way is to keep it dry in a sealed room with several 40W or 64W light bulbs.

Appearance inspection
Before use, the suspended sand belt should undergo necessary appearance quality inspection to check whether the sand belt joints are flat and firm; Whether there are holes, sand lumps, missing sand, glue spots, wrinkles on the surface of the sand belt; Whether the edge of the sand belt is neat and free of cracks. If there are small cracks on the edge, cutting them off (into a circular arc shape) will not affect their use.

Due to the fact that the application and research of sand belt grinding are still in the early stages in China, there is not much knowledge about the use of sand belts in domestic literature. As a manufacturer of sand belts, in order to better serve users, ensure that the sand belts are in the best condition during use, and fully utilize the advantages of sand belt grinding, we will now introduce some knowledge about the storage and use of sand belts to everyone.

1. Storage of sand belts
The storage of sand belts is crucial for their use, especially for wide sand belts. Ideal storage conditions and reasonable storage methods are necessary to ensure that the sand belt is used in its optimal state.
2. Temperature and humidity requirements
Sand belts should not be stored in places with significant temperature and humidity changes. The ideal temperature is 18-220 ° C and the ideal humidity is 40-65%. Excessive temperature can cause the adhesive to age and reduce the service life of the sand belt. Synthetic fiber matrix sand belts (such as polyester cloth sand belts) are sensitive to cold and cannot be stored in cold warehouses.
Excessive or insufficient humidity can cause deformation of the sand belt, which in turn reduces the bonding strength of the sand belt adhesive layer. Especially, excessive humidity has a serious impact on sand belts. Except for water-resistant sand belts, when sand belts are damp and used, they are prone to bending, wrinkling, and other phenomena, which can cause the sand belt machine to be scrapped. In addition, when grinding with damp sand belts, the grinding material is prone to adhere to the surface of the sand belt, reducing the service life of the sand belt. High temperature and low humidity have a significant impact on paper-based sand belts, making them brittle and prone to breakage and scrap during use.
